Utah’s objectives are to:
1) Increase screening for infant mental health concerns as part of the EPSDT well child visits; 2) Increase interactions between and among Medicaid providers to ensure that providers direct children and their families to appropriate services; 3) Increase screening for maternal depression within pediatric practices and as part of the postpartum follow up visits; and 4) Increase the capacity of the current mental health system to serve infants in a variety of appropriate settings.
